Front of House Manager – Junior & Senior (Johannesburg)

About the role

Our client is seeking motivated, outgoing Front of House Managers at both junior and senior levels to join a dynamic restaurant and functions team in Bryanston, Johannesburg. You will be responsible for delivering exceptional guest experiences, maintaining high service standards, and ensuring smooth coordination between front‑of‑house and back‑of‑house operations.

Key responsibilities

• Greet guests courteously and ensure service exceeds expectations.
• Anticipate and resolve customer needs and complaints promptly.
• Manage queue flow and ensure speedy service delivery.
• Maintain and enforce FOH service and operational standards.
• Conduct regular checks of FOH areas for maintenance and compliance.
• Oversee staff uniformity, readiness, and health & safety compliance.
• Senior level: control stock, conduct stock takes and manage company assets.
• Facilitate communication between FOH and BOH teams and coordinate on‑the‑job training.
• Senior level: hold staff accountable, apply discipline, and implement quality control programs.
• Balance cashier sales sheets daily and submit accurate operational reports.

Required profile

• Junior: 1‑3 years FOH or hospitality experience.
• Senior: Minimum 5 years senior FOH or hospitality management experience.
• Own transport and a valid driver’s licence.
• Strong command of English, both verbal and written.

Required skills

• Computer literacy.
