Financial Planner – Blue Ocean Wild Coast

About the role

The Financial Planner will provide new and existing clients with professional, compliant financial advice, planning and product solutions. The role focuses on building sustainable business, maintaining long‑term relationships and contributing to the growth of the Sanlam brand.

Key responsibilities

• Provide professional financial advice, planning and product solutions to new and existing clients, ensuring suitability and compliance.
• Generate sustainable business by prospecting, networking and converting leads into long‑term relationships.
• Maintain and service client portfolios, conduct regular reviews and respond to client activities such as maturities or cancellations.
• Ensure all interactions meet Treating Customers Fairly principles and regulatory requirements.
• Document activities, update records and report on contacts, revenue and targets on a weekly/monthly basis.

Required profile

• Minimum Grade 12 qualification.
• Successful completion of the Financial Advisory and Intermediary Services Act (FAIS) “Fit and Proper” examination and registration with the Financial Sector Conduct Authority (FSCA) for at least 24 months.
• Knowledge of financial advice, production target achievement, budgeting, compliance and risk management.
• Experience in client relationship management and financial planning recommendations.
