Financial Controller

About the role

Network Finance is seeking an experienced Financial Controller to lead the finance function for a dynamic property group. This senior position offers the opportunity to shape financial strategy, ensure robust controls, and support a growing business.

Key responsibilities

• Drive month‑end and year‑end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting.
• Review journals, balance‑sheet reconciliations, intercompany transactions and produce consolidated financial statements.
• Oversee treasury, cash‑flow management, VAT compliance, PAYE and other statutory submissions.
• Manage annual audits, preparation of financial statements and regulatory reporting.
• Prepare board and shareholder reports, budgets and cash‑flow forecasts.
• Develop, implement and improve finance policies, procedures and internal controls.
• Identify operational risks, strengthen governance and enhance finance processes across the business.
• Partner with senior leadership to provide strategic financial insight.

Required profile

• CA(SA) qualification (essential).
• Proven MDA experience (essential).
• 5–7 years leading the full finance function in a Finance Manager or Financial Controller role.
• Property industry experience is highly advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, financial controls, governance, VAT and statutory compliance.
• Advanced Excel and experience with financial systems.
