About the role

Old Mutual is seeking a motivated Financial Consultant to join its team at the Umlazi Mega City 2 branch. You will provide tailored financial advice to an allocated market segment and be directly accountable for meeting sales and service targets.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver standard customer service, handling routine inquiries and directing complex issues to senior colleagues.
• Assess compliance with internal standards and regulatory protocols for routine transactions.
• Welcome visitors, respond to information requests, and ensure accurate recording of customer data in the CRM system.
• Interview customers using a multilevel sales script to clarify their financial needs.
• Prospect new customers through phone calls and face‑to‑face visits, building relationships and generating leads.
• Follow mandatory procedures to maintain quality standards and regulatory compliance.
• Support business development activities by following established processes and documenting data in spreadsheets.
• Identify sales opportunities through referrals, recommendations and data exploration.
