Financial Adviser – Cape Town, Johannesburg, Durban

About the role

Provide new and existing clients with professional financial advice, planning and suitable products while building long‑term relationships. Meet sales, revenue and compliance targets across Cape Town, Johannesburg and Durban.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive financial needs analysis, develop personalised plans and present solutions in line with Treating Customers Fairly.
• Grow the Sanlam adviser business by meeting revenue, activity and brand promotion targets.
• Network, prospect and generate leads through face‑to‑face interactions, social media and business networks.
• Maintain ethical, courteous client service and resolve queries promptly to retain loyalty.
• Monitor client portfolios, track maturities, cancellations and surrenders, and update records regularly.
• Document and report contacts, appointments, issued business and revenue against targets on a weekly/monthly basis.

Required profile

• Grade 12 qualification and successful completion of the FAIS “Fit and Proper” regulatory examination.
• At least 24 months registration with the Financial Sector Conduct Authority (FSCA).
• Knowledge of financial advice, production target achievement, compliance, risk management and client relationship management.
• Strong communication, tech‑savvy, action‑oriented and persuasive interpersonal skills.
