Financial Accountant

About the role

Dante Group is seeking a Financial Accountant to join its Cape Town office. The role will support the finance function across the organisation, providing accurate reporting, budgeting and cost analysis to drive informed decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts and finance reports for senior management.
• Lead the annual budgeting process and perform financial analysis and review.
• Conduct cost, margin and pricing analysis, including the impact of supplier cost increases.
• Maintain inventory control, coordinate stock counts and assess stock balances.
• Process month‑end activities, including ledger entries and bill of materials management.
• Ensure tax compliance and timely submission of statutory filings.

Required profile

• Demonstrated managerial experience within an accounting or finance function.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret financial data.
• Experience supporting multiple business units or branches.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Pastel Evolution accounting software (preferred).
