Client Service Consultant – Onboarding

About the role

The Client Service Consultant – Onboarding will join Prescient Fund Services' Transfer Agency Client Service team in Westlake, Cape Town. You will act as the primary conduit between new investors and internal operational teams, ensuring a smooth and compliant onboarding experience for both individuals and legal entities.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the end‑to‑end client onboarding process, including account creation in Docfox (KYC application) and the unit registry system across all management companies.
• Validate client documentation to meet FICA, FATCA, ASISA, SARB and tax classification requirements before loading investors onto the system.
• Follow up with clients on missing information, provide regular status updates, and maintain high service standards.
• Ensure accurate capture of regulatory and tax classifications (e.g., DWT, IWT) and update daily checklists for team leader sign‑off.
• Collaborate with Compliance and Internal Audit to address high‑risk clients and remediate any FICA gaps.
• Implement and maintain workflow controls, add audit comments, and monitor queues to prevent aged items.

Required profile

• 1–2 years of experience in client onboarding within a fund services or UT‑MANCO environment.
• Understanding of relevant legislation such as FICA, DWT, FATCA, and related compliance frameworks.
• Matriculation minimum; tertiary qualification preferred.
• Methodical, highly organized, able to work under time pressure and limited supervision.
• Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a client‑centric attitude.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Docfox (KYC application) for client onboarding.
• Experience using a unit registry system for account creation and maintenance.
