About the role
We are looking for a Chartered Accountant (CA(SA)) with deep mining finance expertise to support a large‑scale ERP and performance‑management system implementation. The contract runs until December 2026 and will involve travel to Cape Town.
Key responsibilities
- Translate the mining value chain into detailed, auditable financial model logic for ERP/EPM configuration.
- Define, document and validate calculation logic, review outputs for accuracy and lead UAT activities.
- Model copper production, payable volumes, revenue, treatment/refining charges, royalties, taxes and recoveries.
- Build and validate inventory valuation models (ROM, WIP, concentrate, finished product) and support cost allocation across the value chain.
- Ensure integrated financial statements – income statement, balance sheet and cash flow – reflect inventory, fixed assets, CWIP and working capital impacts.
- Collaborate with finance, operations and IT teams, translating business requirements into system logic and challenging assumptions.
Required profile
- CA(SA) qualification – non‑negotiable.
- 5–10 years of experience in mining finance, FP&A or management accounting, with direct mining industry exposure.
- Strong analytical mindset, detail‑oriented and able to work independently.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and ability to drive accuracy.
Required skills
- Advanced financial modelling.
- ERP/EPM systems exposure – SAP, Oracle, Anaplan, Hyperion.
- Understanding of revenue drivers, cost allocation and financial statements.
