Finance Manager - Manufacturing Group

About the role

Hire Resolve is recruiting a seasoned, hands-on Finance Manager for a multi-business manufacturing and laboratory supplies group based in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal. This is a full-time, permanent, strictly office-based position requiring an experienced financial professional who has managed complex group structures, large annual turnovers and intricate manufacturing accounting.

Key responsibilities

• Direct the full financial function across several business entities, including group allocations, consolidations and financial reporting
• Oversee manufacturing cost accounting, inventory valuation, bill of materials (BOM) and variance analysis
• Evaluate high-turnover financial performance, manage cash flow across entities and handle non-routine business situations
• Ensure compliance with statutory regulations, SARS requirements and internal financial controls, and lead external audits to final sign-off
• Provide strategic oversight to the finance department and work with senior management on growth and risk mitigation

Required profile

• BCom degree in Accounting, Financial Management or equivalent; CA(SA) or CIMA is highly advantageous
• At least 20 years of hands-on financial management experience
• Proven exposure to manufacturing accounting and multi-entity groups with large annual turnovers
• Resilient, self-directed leader able to handle complex corporate setups

What we offer

• R50,000 CTC per month (R600,000 per annum, negotiable based on experience)
• Full-time, permanent, onsite office role in Durban
