Finance Manager – Automotive Dealership

About the role

We are an established automotive dealership group seeking an experienced Finance Manager to lead the financial function across multiple dealership operations. This hands‑on role is ideal for a finance professional who thrives in a fast‑paced environment and wants to drive business performance through strong financial leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the full financial function across dealership operations.
• Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports.
• Manage budgeting, forecasting and cash‑flow planning.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax legislation and internal controls.
• Oversee creditors, debtors, general ledger and fixed‑asset management.
• Reconcile manufacturer accounts and ensure accurate OEM reporting.
• Manage month‑end and year‑end financial processes.
• Analyse business performance and provide strategic financial recommendations.
• Lead, mentor and develop the finance team.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Finance Manager.
• Previous experience in the motor dealership industry (essential).
• Experience with Evolve or similar dealership management systems.
• Strong understanding of dealership accounting systems and financial controls.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Excellent analytical, leadership and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
• Valid driver’s licence and clear credit, criminal and employment verification record.
