F&B Service Expert (Barista)

About the role

We are looking for a motivated F&B Service Expert to work as a Barista at our venue in Convention Square, Cape Town. The role involves delivering high‑quality beverage service, maintaining a clean and safe work environment, and providing friendly, professional hospitality to all guests.

Key responsibilities

• Perform opening and closing duties, including setting up supplies, cleaning equipment, and securing the premises.
• Stock ice, glassware, paper supplies and keep work areas well‑maintained.
• Remove soiled wares, clean the bar top and tables, and ensure all tools meet set‑up guidelines.
• Follow company safety and security policies, report accidents, and complete required safety training.
• Maintain a clean, professional uniform and personal appearance at all times.
• Welcome guests, anticipate their service needs, assist individuals with disabilities, and thank them sincerely.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with team members and guests.
• Adhere to quality standards and protect confidential and proprietary information.

Required profile

• Ability to stand, sit or walk for an entire shift and lift objects up to 50 lb without assistance.
• Commitment to follow all safety, security and hygiene procedures.
• Professional demeanor, clean uniform, and respect for confidentiality.
• Willingness to work collaboratively and support team goals.
