About the role
Lenmed is recruiting a Facilities Assistant for the Technical & Maintenance department at Randfontein Private Hospital, based in Randfontein, Gauteng. The post holder is responsible for general repairs, maintenance and cleaning of hospital property.
Key responsibilities
- Perform unsupervised basic maintenance of hospital facilities and equipment
- Painting and general repairs and maintenance of hospital property
- Maintain refrigeration and air-conditioning systems
- Clean air-conditioning filters and ducts
- Service cooling towers and hair handler units
- Keep public areas well maintained
- Assist the Technical Manager with maintenance and repairs of hospital plant and equipment when needed
Required profile
- Grade 12 or equivalent NQF Level 4 qualification
- 1-2 years' experience as a Facilities Assistant in the Technical and Maintenance department
- Ability to be contacted during office hours; applications not contacted within 30 days of the closing date (2026/11/15) will be treated as unsuccessful
Required skills
- Basic knowledge and skills with all tools found in a facility
- Welding experience is an added advantage
