Executive Housekeeper – Luxury Hotel

About the role

An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Executive Housekeeper to join a prestigious luxury hotel in Cape Town. Reporting to the Director of Housekeeping, you will support the smooth running of the department while maintaining exceptional standards of cleanliness, presentation, guest service and team performance.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate housekeeping staff including room attendants and public area cleaners.
• Prepare and distribute daily room assignments and allocate work sections.
• Oversee daily operations to ensure guest rooms and public areas meet luxury standards.
• Review arrival lists and brief the team on special requests.
• Conduct daily briefings and communicate operational priorities.
• Investigate guest concerns and record service‑related issues for follow‑up.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, hygiene and sanitation standards.
• Monitor stock levels of linen, supplies and cleaning materials.

Required profile

• Previous experience as an Executive Housekeeper or senior housekeeping manager.
• Experience in a luxury hotel or high‑standard hospitality environment.
• Strong leadership and team‑management abilities.
• Thorough knowledge of housekeeping operations, cleanliness standards and stock control.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to high standards.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to investigate concerns, solve problems and see issues through to resolution.
• Flexible availability to meet hotel operational needs.
