Environmental Engineer – Remediation

About the role

AECOM’s Enterprise Capabilities team is seeking an experienced Environmental Engineer specializing in remediation to support system operations, soil and groundwater investigations, and remediation projects across South Africa.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluation of remediation data and treatment performance.
• Development of operation and maintenance plans.
• Analysis and preparation of engineering reports, plans, calculations, drawings, and specifications.
• Modeling and analysis of subsurface conditions and remediation performance.
• Assist with remedial technology design and planning of environmental field work, including sampling and monitoring.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science or a related field with 8+ years of relevant experience.
• 10+ years experience in environmental consulting, preferably in remediation system management.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
• Experience with environmental data management systems such as EQuIS, Locus EIM, ESdat or EDS.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
