Enterprise Supplier Development Manager

About the role

Transnet Rail Infrastructure Manager (TRIM) is recruiting a non-permanent Enterprise Supplier Development (ESD) Manager in Johannesburg. The role ensures that ESD strategies align with national policy and the regulatory framework, and works with the supply chain community to make implementation, monitoring and reporting of ESD consistent across TRIM. It also plays an active part in the integrated Supply Chain Management Strategy through the Supplier Development Centre of Excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Liaise with the supply chain community to ensure consistent implementation, monitoring and reporting of ESD
• Conduct training on ESD policies and procedures to drive compliance with TRIM when entering ESD transactions
• Collate information and compile reports on ESD transactions across TRIM
• Manage and monitor ESD contracts and progress across TRIM
• Research and analyse to support ESD and Localisation strategies, policies and procedures, and to identify opportunities with strategic suppliers
• Track ESD strategy and policy implementation, and collect success stories and lessons learned

Required profile

• A relevant commercial Bachelor's degree, or CIPS Level 4
• 8 years of experience in a supply management function, ESD, Localisation or BBBEE strategy development, unless competencies can be shown through other experience
• Conceptual and analytical thinking, result focus, resilience and emotional intelligence
• Strategic, collaborative and change-oriented approach
• Ability to optimise business performance, manage programmes, projects and contracts, and manage risk and compliance
