Enrolled Nurse – Theatre (HPH)

About the role
The Enrolled Nurse will provide direct and indirect nursing care to patients in the theatre department of Howick Private Hospital, working under the supervision of a Registered Nurse and Unit Manager.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation.
- Ensure a therapeutic, clean and safe environment free from medicolegal hazards.
- Contribute to holistic patient care and promote overall health and wellbeing.
- Participate in the unit’s quality‑improvement programme.
- Attend handover at the start of each shift and communicate effectively with patients about their care.
- Refer patient or doctor complaints to the sister‑in‑charge of the unit.
- Carry out departmental duties assigned by supervisors and complete delegated tasks on time.
Required profile
- Registration with the South African Nursing Council as an Enrolled Nurse.
- Compliance with the SANC code for Enrolled Nurses and relevant health‑care legislation.
- Relevant nursing experience (advantageous).
- Computer literacy.
- Flexibility to work various shifts and hours.
