About the role
We are seeking a dedicated Enrolled Nurse to join our retirement village team in Durbanville. The role involves providing comprehensive nursing care to elderly residents during night shifts, ensuring their physical, mental, emotional, and psychological well‑being.
Key responsibilities
- Identify, plan and implement appropriate treatment for residents.
- Assist with ad‑hoc and administrative duties, including wound care and medication administration.
- Deliver quality nursing care covering physical, mental, emotional and psychological aspects.
- Perform hand‑over and take‑over procedures at each shift change.
- Communicate treatment regimens clearly to patients and their families.
- Work independently on a 7‑to‑7 night shift schedule.
Required profile
- SANC‑registered Enrolled Nurse.
- Bilingual in Afrikaans or a strong understanding of the language.
- Previous experience in geriatric care or psychiatric training.
- Ability to work night shifts (7 am to 7 pm) and operate independently.
- Own transport is an advantage.
- Good communication skills.
