Enrolled Nurse Auxiliary – Hospital Ward Support

About the role

The Enrolled Nurse Auxiliary will provide direct and indirect nursing care to patients at Netcare Kuilsrivier Hospital, working under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. This role ensures safe, clean, and therapeutic ward environments while supporting patient wellbeing.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care to individual patients or groups under RN supervision.
• Maintain a therapeutic, clean, and safe ward environment free from medico‑legal hazards.
• Follow Netcare medical waste management and general waste protocols.
• Control and monitor stock, equipment use, cleaning, storage, and report repairs.
• Uphold patient confidentiality at all times.
• Monitor vital signs and perform procedures according to hospital standards.
• Apply infection prevention and standard precautions.
• Participate in handover reports and refer queries to the sister‑in‑charge.
• Engage in teamwork, professional development, and maintain CPR/BLS competence.

Required profile

• Qualified Enrolled Nurse Auxiliary.
• Ability to work under direct or indirect supervision of a Registered Nurse.
• Commitment to patient confidentiality and safety.
• Willingness to keep up‑to‑date with Netcare policies and procedures.
• Readiness to participate in ongoing professional development.
