Engineering Manager

About the role

The Engineering Manager will be responsible for the operational requirements of our client in the Oil and Gas sector, focusing on retail and commercial fuel stations. You will partner with client management teams to drive service delivery, generate innovative ideas, and contribute to cost‑saving initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Own service delivery performance across all regions and ensure alignment with the "Pragma Way".
• Enable and train AM resources, build long‑term relationships with client operational teams and contractors.
• Utilise Business Intelligence tools (e.g., Wyn reports) for informed decision‑making.
• Manage and coordinate technical and non‑technical staff across regions.
• Conduct site inspections, resolve critical problems, and handle client complaints.
• Participate in steering committee meetings and conduct regular regional visits.
• Drive Asset Care Plan attainment, manage reactive maintenance exceptions, and deliver maintenance projects.
• Provide weekend on‑call support as required.

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification in Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical or Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years experience as an Engineering Manager.
• At least 5 years experience in Oil & Gas, specifically retail/commercial fuel stations.
• Proven experience with CMMS and client reporting.
• Experience managing both technical and non‑technical staff.
• Valid driver’s licence and own transport.
• Strong understanding of SLAs and contract management.
• Reliable, trustworthy, good communicator, able to work under pressure.

• CMMS (Computerised Maintenance Management System).
• Business Intelligence tools (e.g., Wyn reports).
