About the role
The Department of Health and Wellness is seeking a Chief Driver for light‑duty vehicles at Victoria Hospital. The role involves transporting passengers, mail, medical supplies and blood products while ensuring vehicle safety and compliance with regulations.
Key responsibilities
- Transport official passengers, post, packages and equipment.
- Deliver and collect blood products efficiently.
- Maintain safety, cleanliness and routine inspection of government vehicles.
- Deliver medication, goods and equipment within the PGWC.
- Report vehicle defects and perform routine administration tasks.
- Standby for after‑hours duties and provide relief coverage.
Required profile
- Basic numeracy and literacy skills.
- Appropriate driving experience with a valid Code B/EB licence and Public Drivers Permit.
- Ability to work independently, accept accountability and communicate effectively.
- Knowledge of transport regulations and sober habits.
