Director of Software

About the role

The Director of Software will lead a high‑performing engineering function that designs and delivers client‑facing software platforms across multiple industries. This position sits at the intersection of technology, consulting and delivery, ensuring that solutions translate into measurable client outcomes and commercial value.

Key responsibilities

• Own the end‑to‑end delivery of custom software solutions for external customers.
• Build, mentor and scale engineering teams while fostering a culture of technical excellence.
• Collaborate directly with clients, stakeholders and executive leadership to define solution strategy and commercial expectations.
• Manage multiple projects, delivery pipelines and budgets simultaneously.
• Balance technical quality with commercial acumen to meet cost, timeline and client satisfaction targets.

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT or related field (MBA advantageous).
• 10+ years of software development experience, including at least 5 years in senior leadership or director roles.
• Proven track record delivering client‑facing software solutions in a solution‑driven environment.
• Strong commercial awareness and ability to engage with senior client and executive audiences.
