Digital/UI Designer - Integrated Boutique Agency

About the role

A boutique agency in Stellenbosch is looking for a mid-senior Digital/UI Designer with some print exposure to join its growing team. The designer will conceptualise and play a lead role in shaping brand identities, designing for web and social, and craft work that is as strategic as it is visually compelling, working across platforms with both digital and print exposure.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design process from initial concept through to final delivery, meeting client briefs, timelines and quality expectations.
• Develop branding solutions such as logos, visual identities, packaging and other brand collateral.
• Attend client meetings and presentations to understand needs, explain design decisions and present creative concepts.
• Stay up to date with design trends, tools and technology.

Required profile

• Degree or diploma in Graphic Design, Visual Communication or a related field preferred.
• 4-7 years' experience in design, with a strong focus on branding and digital execution.
• Diverse portfolio showing UI and digital design; branding, packaging and print work is a plus.
• Strategic thinking, attention to detail, excellent verbal and written communication, and ability to manage several projects at once.

Required skills

• Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop).
• Motion graphics and animation (After Effects).
• Proficiency in Figma or other prototyping/motion tools is a bonus.
• Understanding of typography, composition, colour theory and layout; print production knowledge is a bonus.
