Data Engineer (Power Platform and Microsoft Fabric)

About the role

We are seeking a Data Engineer who thrives at the intersection of business process automation, low‑code app development, and modern data platforms. The role combines Power Platform solution delivery with end‑to‑end data pipeline engineering on Microsoft Fabric to create secure, production‑ready solutions that transform business operations.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain Power Apps (Canvas & Model‑Driven) to digitise business processes.
• Create Power Automate flows for automation, integration, approvals and notifications.
• Configure SharePoint Online for document management, lists, metadata and integration with Power Platform.
• Apply ALM practices: environment separation, solution packaging, versioning and change control.
• Implement secure solutions using Dataverse, RBAC and Azure AD (Microsoft Entra ID) integration.
• Design and operate data pipelines in Fabric Data Factory, Lakehouse/Warehouse and Spark/Dataflows Gen2.
• Ingest and transform data from SAP ECC/S4, line‑of‑business systems, SharePoint/M365 and external sources.
• Build semantic models, curated data products and support Power BI integration.
• Ensure compliance with data governance, privacy (POPIA) and regulatory standards.
• Participate in solution reviews, production support and continuous improvement of standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Information Systems or a related field.
• Experience in enterprise, regulated or manufacturing environments.
• Proven ability to translate business requirements into scalable, supportable solutions.
