Senior Data Governance & Data Management Specialists

About the role

Our client is looking for two senior, high‑calibre professionals to lead data governance and data management initiatives across the enterprise. The role combines strategic design of data frameworks with hands‑on support for architecture, master data, and compliance projects.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement data governance frameworks, standards and operating models.
• Support enterprise‑wide data management strategies and initiatives.
• Design and maintain data architecture and data management structures.
• Lead Master Data Management (MDM) initiatives and related processes.
• Analyse existing governance landscapes, identify gaps and recommend improvements.
• Conduct business and technical analysis to capture data and governance requirements.
• Define data policies, standards, processes and governance practices.
• Promote data quality, ownership, stewardship and accountability.
• Collaborate with business, data, technology and governance stakeholders.
• Support compliance‑related data initiatives, including POPIA implementation where applicable.
• Produce documentation, analysis and recommendations for enterprise data governance.

Required profile

• Senior‑level experience in data governance, data management and data architecture.
• Proven track record delivering enterprise data initiatives and governance frameworks.
• Strong analytical abilities in both business and technical contexts.
• Experience with Master Data Management and data quality programs.
• Familiarity with POPIA or similar data‑privacy regulations.
