About the role
The Cross‑border Controller will manage freight forwarding operations for clients, ensuring shipments are coordinated from purchase order issuance through delivery. The role requires close interaction with suppliers, customs authorities and customers to maintain service quality and revenue margins.
Key responsibilities
- Co‑ordinate all shipments for clients from issue of Purchase Order as per INCO terms.
- Maintain good service levels and revenue margins.
- Ensure all shipments are dispatched and clients are kept fully informed of progress.
- Guarantee compliance with customs regulations and SOPs.
- Liaise with suppliers and expeditors to ensure timely uplift and return of PODs.
- Handle multimodal export and import shipments and meet destination country requirements.
Required profile
- Matric certificate.
- Freight forwarding qualifications.
- 3 to 5 years experience as a road controller.
