Copy & Content Coordinator

About the role

A leading pet care retail company is looking for a Copy & Content Coordinator to join its marketing team. You will help create, coordinate and maintain the standards of all copy and content across many platforms and channels, reporting to the Marketing Manager while working with internal teams and external stakeholders. The role suits someone with excellent English writing skills and the ability to produce meaningful content for several channels.

Key responsibilities

• Social media: develop, run and maintain the content calendar for more than one brand's social pages, research trends and propose new content ideas
• Manage social media influencers and content with shopping centres
• Write and edit articles and blog posts on pet care topics
• Write, edit and proofread product copy for websites, email newsletters, brochures, competition landing pages and other customer-facing material
• Manage radio ad content for promotions (briefing agencies, reviewing and editing)
• Monitor website content such as product copy, banners and promotions, and help upload content to websites
• Liaise with industry experts, monitor company bio information online and give general copy and content support to the marketing team

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification in a related field such as journalism, copywriting or digital marketing
• At least 2 years of full-time experience in a similar role
• Copywriting experience, including social media and blog posts, and marketing material such as brochures, flyers and newsletters
• Excellent written and verbal communication, attention to detail, creativity, planning and time management skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines; a pet lover is preferred
