Contract Manager – Scaffolding, Insulation & Industrial Painting

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Contract Manager to lead the safe, profitable and efficient delivery of scaffolding, insulation and industrial painting contracts across the region. This senior leadership position oversees multiple projects, drives operational excellence and builds strong client relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, resource and sequence contracts to achieve on‑time delivery and target gross profit.
• Oversee scaffolding erection, modification and dismantling in line with approved designs and SANS 10085 standards.
• Ensure surface preparation, coating application and insulation/cladding meet contractual quality specifications.
• Prepare and review quotations, variation claims and monthly invoicing; conduct job‑cost variance analysis.
• Maintain strong relationships with key client representatives and identify opportunities for contract expansion.
• Lead, coach and develop supervisors, site managers and administrators; manage performance reviews and succession planning.
• Enforce safety compliance, including approved safety files, OHS Act requirements and construction regulations.
• Approve timesheets, expenses and vehicle claims; conduct site stock checks and maintain up‑to‑date documentation.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing large‑scale scaffolding, insulation or industrial painting contracts.
• Strong commercial acumen with ability to manage quotations, variations and cost control.
• Excellent stakeholder management and client‑facing skills.
• Leadership experience in developing high‑performance teams.
• Commitment to HSEQ standards and zero‑harm culture.
