Project Manager – Worship Infrastructure (West Africa)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead the planning, design coordination and execution of large‑scale worship centres, temples and pilgrimage infrastructure across West Africa. The role combines civil‑engineering rigor with sensitive stakeholder management and respect for traditional architectural craftsmanship.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end delivery of worship centre projects, managing on‑site construction, quality control, safety compliance and schedule adherence.
• Oversee logistics, customs clearance and precision installation of imported sacred architecture elements such as hand‑carved stone, marble and dome structures.
• Manage the construction of high‑occupancy public spaces, including worship halls, open‑air assembly grounds, dining facilities and pilgrim housing, ensuring robust traffic, crowd‑control and utility resilience.
• Act as primary liaison with religious trusts, community elders, local authorities and heritage bodies to secure approvals, environmental clearances and zoning permits.
• Control project budgets, cash‑flow forecasts, vendor selection and risk mitigation for supply‑chain delays, weather impacts and scope changes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture or related field; PMP or SACPCMP a plus.
• 7‑15+ years of progressive construction project management experience, preferably on cultural or religious building projects.
• Proven ability to work respectfully with religious bodies, community leaders and international specialists.

Required skills

• Reinforced concrete and structural steel design.
• Foundation engineering and MEP integration.
• Project planning tools such as MS Project and Primavera P6.
• CAD software viewers and construction management platforms (Procore, Buildertrend).
• International freight logistics and customs clearance for fragile architectural elements.
