Field Engineer

About the role

Pragma is looking for a Field Engineer to support the maintenance and construction of retail and commercial fuel stations. The role is client‑facing, involves regular site visits and offers the chance to work independently while contributing to cost‑saving initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Manage maintenance and construction work on retail and commercial fuel stations.
• Scope work and review contractor quotes and invoices.
• Perform routine site inspections based on service level agreements.
• Conduct HSE oversight inspections on work in progress.
• Inspect assets during each site visit and log maintenance calls for identified faults.
• Over‑inspect completed maintenance work to ensure quality.
• Build relationships with site personnel and client managers.
• Assist clients in resolving critical problems identified on site.
• Utilise available tools and technologies to perform duties efficiently.

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification in a relevant field (e.g., Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Building).
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar position.
• At least 1 year of experience in the oil and gas industry, preferably focused on retail fuel stations.
• Valid driver’s licence and own transport.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work under pressure.
