Clinical Scientist

About the role

The Clinical Scientist joins Signant Health’s Digital Health Sciences team to provide scientific guidance on electronic Clinical Outcome Assessments (eCOA), eConsent, sensors and wearables used in clinical trials. The role bridges scientific expertise with digital technology to help design and implement solutions that meet trial objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze study protocols and related documents to capture scientific and technical requirements.
• Advise internal and client teams on the design of eCOA solutions, ensuring alignment with trial goals and regulatory standards.
• Support pre‑sales activities, bid defenses, requirement gathering, and solution design meetings.
• Provide scientific input to product development to shape new capabilities.
• Lead special‑project consultations for client‑specific scientific requests and external research initiatives.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of industry best practices, regulatory requirements, and emerging digital health technologies.
• Participate in industry forums, working groups, and collaborations with key opinion leaders.
• Develop thought‑leadership materials and scientific content to showcase expertise.

Required profile

• Strong background in clinical research, clinical outcome assessments, or related scientific fields.
• Experience reviewing clinical trial protocols and translating requirements into digital solutions.
• Ability to communicate complex scientific concepts to technical, operational, and client audiences.
• Familiarity with regulatory environments governing COA and digital health tools.
• Proactive attitude toward staying current with emerging technologies and industry trends.
