Clinical Operations Specialist – Pharmacist

About the role

The Clinical Operations Specialist – Pharmacist will ensure effective operational management and continuous improvement of clinical operations processes, focusing on the integrity of NAPPI and MMAP systems. The role bridges clinical, technical and operational functions to deliver compliant, high-quality clinical information to clients and internal teams.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain NAPPI code allocation, master files and clinical sets, performing daily QC and regular reporting for South Africa and Namibia.
• Support MMAP product by assisting with quarterly, bi-annual and annual reviews, monitoring changes and managing relationships with manufacturers.
• Manage NAPPI clinical projects, define requirements, conduct user testing and act as sub-project manager where needed.
• Provide clinical support to internal departments and external stakeholders, including analysis of medicines, medical devices and handling escalated queries.
• Ensure compliance with legislation, ISO certification and internal policies, driving updates to SOPs and governance documents.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Pharmacy.
• Experience in a clinical environment, preferably with medical scheme/managed-care exposure.
• Client liaison experience and strong computer literacy with data handling.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel proficiency (MS Access advantageous).
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• High adaptability, attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
