Clinical Nurse (R/N) – PB Qualified – CTICU (6‑Month Contract)

About the role

The Professional Nurse/Clinical (PB Qualified) will provide holistic, person‑centred nursing care in the CTICU at Netcare Olivedale Hospital. You will act as a clinical resource, coordinating care within a multidisciplinary team and advocating for patients and families.

Key responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate individualized nursing care for critically ill patients.
• Document nursing interventions and ensure compliance with unit SOPs and nursing standards.
• Facilitate communication between patients, families, and health professionals.
• Coordinate with nursing management to resolve patient‑care issues.
• Initiate and lead emergency resuscitation (RESUS) when required.
• Interview patients and families to gather background information and identify needs.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse (R/N) with PB qualification.
• Experience in critical care or intensive care settings preferred.
• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Strong commitment to patient safety, compassion and professional ethics.

Required skills

• Clinical assessment and patient monitoring.
• Care planning and documentation.
• Emergency resuscitation (RESUS) techniques.
• Effective communication with patients, families and health professionals.
