Chef de Partie – Hotel Kitchen (Cape Town)

About the role

Career Growth Hospitality Recruitment is seeking a motivated Chef de Partie to join a well‑established hotel kitchen in Cape Town. The role involves leading a specific section of the kitchen, ensuring high‑quality dishes, and supporting the culinary team in a fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and present dishes to the highest quality standards.
• Manage the assigned kitchen section during service, ensuring consistency and portion control.
• Maintain food safety, hygiene, and HACCP standards at all times.
• Assist with stock control, rotation, and waste reduction.
• Support and guide junior brigade members.
• Collaborate closely with the Sous Chef and Head Chef to ensure smooth operations.
• Keep the work area clean, organised, and efficient.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Chef de Partie in a hotel, restaurant or similar hospitality setting.
• Relevant culinary qualification (advantageous but not mandatory).
• Strong knowledge of food preparation and kitchen operations.
• Passion for delivering quality food and excellent guest experiences.
• Ability to work under pressure in a busy kitchen.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Reliable, professional and eager to grow within the hospitality industry.
