Chartered Accountant (CA(SA)) – Finance Role

About the role

Our client is a fast‑growing space‑industry company that designs and manufactures advanced RF communication systems for satellite applications. They are entering an exciting scale‑up phase and need a qualified accountant to support their financial operations.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day accounting functions, including accounts payable and receivable, invoicing and local and international payments.
• Process journal entries up to trial balance and maintain accurate general ledger records.
• Complete bank, customer and supplier reconciliations and maintain the fixed asset register.
• Assist with monthly management accounts, financial reporting and variance analysis.
• Ensure compliance with VAT, PAYE, Income Tax and WCA requirements, including VAT201 submissions.
• Support annual financial and B‑BBEE audits.
• Assist with budgeting, rolling forecasts, financial models and scenario analysis.
• Provide financial information and analysis to support management decision‑making.

Required profile

• CA(SA) qualification.
• 2–3 years’ experience as a Financial Accountant after completing articles.
• South African citizenship or a valid work permit.
• Experience with Xero is advantageous.
• Start‑up or small business experience is advantageous.
