Junior to Intermediate Accountant

About the role

Mineware Consulting is looking for a motivated and detail‑oriented Junior to Intermediate Accountant to join its finance team in Stellenbosch. This full‑time position offers a hybrid working model and provides an excellent opportunity for a finance professional with 2‑3 years of experience to develop their career in a technology‑focused environment.

Key responsibilities

• Process accounting transactions accurately and timely.
• Perform balance‑sheet and account reconciliations.
• Assist with monthly management accounts and financial reporting.
• Maintain the general ledger and accounting records.
• Support VAT, payroll, and statutory compliance processes.
• Maintain fixed‑asset records and supporting documentation.
• Assist internal and external audit activities.
• Contribute to month‑end and year‑end financial processes.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, Financial Management or a related field.
• 2 to 3 years of practical accounting experience.
• Experience using accounting software such as Xero, Sage, Pastel or QuickBooks.
