Café Coordinator – Cafeteria Operations

About the role

We are looking for a dependable, hands‑on Café Coordinator to oversee the daily operations of our cafeteria in Tokai. You will be responsible for preparing and serving food and beverages, handling customer transactions, and ensuring a clean, efficient environment for staff and visitors.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and serve food and beverages in line with hygiene and quality standards
• Assist with daily cafeteria operations, including opening, closing, and general setup/pack‑down
• Handle customer purchases, processing cash and/or card transactions accurately
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, serving areas, and storage spaces
• Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering and receiving supplies
• Ensure compliance with food safety, health, and hygiene regulations at all times
• Support menu planning and contribute ideas for new or improved food offerings
• Assist in managing daily inventory and reducing food waste
• Provide friendly and efficient customer service to all staff and visitors
• Report maintenance issues, stock shortages, or operational concerns to management
• Assist with ad‑hoc operational tasks to ensure smooth cafeteria functioning
