Buyer / Procurement Specialist – Manufacturing

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Buyer / Procurement Specialist to join our manufacturing team in Kempton Park. You will manage the sourcing and purchasing of raw materials, steel, aluminium, insulation, and other components essential for our modular building production.

Key responsibilities

• Source, evaluate and negotiate with suppliers to secure the best price, quality and delivery terms.
• Obtain and compare quotations from multiple vendors.
• Place purchase orders, track deliveries and ensure uninterrupted material flow to production.
• Monitor stock levels, maintain optimal inventory and identify cost‑saving opportunities.
• Negotiate annual pricing agreements where applicable.
• Assist with material forecasting and resolve supplier quality or delivery issues.
• Collaborate closely with Production, Drawing Office, Projects, Finance and Management.
• Maintain accurate procurement records and ensure compliance with company procedures and budgets.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of purchasing or procurement experience, preferably in construction, manufacturing or related industries.
• Strong negotiation and supplier management abilities.
• Excellent numerical and analytical skills.
• Fluent in Afrikaans and English.
• Valid driver’s licence and residence within reasonable commuting distance to Kempton Park.
