Business Development Executive – Financial Services

About the role

A leading South African investment and asset management business is hiring two Business Development Executives to strengthen its retail distribution team. The role suits commercially driven investment professionals with an established network of Independent Financial Advisors, financial planners and other intermediaries.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong relationships with IFAs, wealth managers and other intermediaries.
• Drive new business acquisition and grow assets under management in the retail investments market.
• Promote and position investment solutions to advisors and their clients.
• Conduct advisor meetings, presentations, training sessions and business reviews.
• Identify opportunities to expand advisor engagement and increase market share.
• Develop and execute regional business development strategies.
• Deliver exceptional client service while maintaining stakeholder relationships.

Required profile

• Completed BCom degree or equivalent tertiary qualification.
• Minimum three years’ experience as a Business Development Executive, Business Development Manager or Intermediary Consultant within investments or financial services.
• RE5 qualification (essential).
• Proven track record of business development and advisor relationship management.
• Strong presentation, networking and communication abilities.
• Ability to work independently and manage a regional portfolio.
