Business Development Coordinator

About the role

The Business Development Coordinator will support the Business Development Manager(s) in expanding Glacier’s retail investment market share across the Western Cape SFA and IFA segments. Based in Tyger Valley, the role involves regular travel within the assigned territory and close collaboration with Sanlam Connect distribution channels.

Key responsibilities

• Provide day‑to‑day assistance to the Business Development Manager(s) in executing regional and national sales strategies.
• Train intermediaries, their assistants, and office personnel on Glacier products, processes, and digital tools (Investment Hub, G‑Hub, Web platform).
• Identify training needs and drive digital engagement to increase platform utilisation.
• Build and maintain relationships with intermediaries and their support staff.
• Coordinate the BDM’s annual marketing budget, conflict‑of‑interest register, and lead marketing campaigns.
• Organise training events, fund manager presentations, and other promotional activities.
• Assist in achieving monthly inflow targets for LISP, Life, Glacier Invest and Glacier International product lines.
• Track new business submissions, liaise with product BDCs, and support proposal and quotation preparation.
• Analyse Business Intelligence reports to spot opportunities and improvement areas.
• Handle administrative duties such as diary management and document preparation.

Required profile

• Experience supporting business development functions within financial services.
• Familiarity with Glacier’s product suite and Sanlam Connect distribution channels.
• Ability to train and educate intermediaries and their support teams.
• Strong organisational skills and willingness to travel within the Western Cape.

Required skills

• Proficiency with the Investment Hub platform.
• Proficiency with the G‑Hub platform.
• Experience using web‑based financial tools.
• Ability to interpret Business Intelligence reports.
