Brand Officer – Automotive Marketplace

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Brand Officer to lead the strategic direction of our automotive marketplace brand in Johannesburg. The role will oversee brand consistency across digital and physical touchpoints, drive data‑focused marketing performance and optimise the customer journey from lead generation to conversion.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain 100 % accuracy of vehicle listings across the website, AutoTrader, Cars.co.za, Carfind and other platforms.
• Develop and execute integrated marketing campaigns that align with business objectives and deliver measurable ROI.
• Optimise Meta, Google and third‑party advertising channels to increase lead quality and conversion rates.
• Manage the full CRM lifecycle, implementing structured follow‑up processes and aligning with sales teams.
• Produce dynamic content such as vehicle walkthroughs, stock highlights and event promotions to boost brand awareness.
• Analyse competitor pricing, market trends and performance data to inform pricing strategy and growth opportunities.

Required profile

• Proven experience in brand or marketing roles within a fast‑moving, tech‑enabled environment.
• Strong analytical mindset with ability to translate data into actionable marketing insights.
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach to work with cross‑functional teams.
• Detail‑oriented with a focus on maintaining high‑quality brand presentation.
