Branch Operations Manager

About the role

Mediclinic is recruiting a Branch Operations Manager for its ER24 branch in Trichardt (Er24 Highveld), South Africa. The role manages and implements the operational strategy of ER24 at branch level so that its aims and objectives are met. It is a permanent, on-site position.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee and manage the daily operational requirements of the site
• Manage site financials
• Oversee the Human Resources of the site
• Manage Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) of the site
• Support ER24 through branch-specific marketing initiatives
• Deliver operational clinical support while managing risks and improving clinical performance and governance

Required profile

• Essential: Senior Certificate with University Entrance and ILS certification
• Desired: ALS certification and a National Diploma in Business Management
• Essential: 3 years of operational experience and 2 years of supervisory experience
• Desired: 3-5 years of operational experience and 2-3 years of management experience

Required skills

• Working knowledge of the operational EMS environment and of EMS qualifications under the HPCSA framework
• Sound budgeting and financial planning, and application of business metrics, governance and risk management
• Contract and SLA management, and knowledge of funders of healthcare
• Understanding of relevant legislation and industrial relations procedures
• Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Fleet Management System (FMS), Statistics Portal and CRS
• Workforce planning, rostering, incident reporting, clinical quality improvement and audit
