Branch Consultant / Financial Advisor (Modimolle)

About the role

The Branch Consultant / Financial Advisor will work from our Modimolle branch to promote Sanlam Retail Mass (SRM) products, provide sound financial advice and deliver high‑level client service. You will help clients optimise their financial plans by matching their needs with appropriate insurance, savings and investment solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Promote SRM product range and increase market share through proactive sales and cross‑selling.
• Assess client needs, financial goals and means, and recommend suitable products.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of product changes and communicate them to clients.
• Validate client information against regulatory and product requirements and submit new business through proper channels.
• Conduct due‑diligence, identify risks and ensure compliance.
• Manage client appointments, walk‑ins and follow‑up on payment reminders, NTU management and persistency.
• Provide in‑branch support for policy cancellations, alternative payment arrangements and query resolution, escalating when necessary.
• Continuously develop product expertise and adhere to quality and compliance standards.

Required profile

• Strong sales orientation with a proven ability to meet targets.
• In‑depth understanding of SRM product portfolio and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent client‑focused communication and relationship‑building skills.
• Ability to manage time effectively, prioritise appointments and handle walk‑in customers.
• Attention to detail for validation, due‑diligence and risk assessment.
• Commitment to ongoing learning and compliance adherence.
