AWS Solutions Architect

About the role

Amidel is an IT and business consulting firm delivering specialised solutions to enterprises in the private and public sectors. We are looking for an experienced AWS Solutions Architect to join our team and work full‑time on client projects, designing and implementing AWS cloud solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement AWS cloud‑based solutions, ensuring best practices and security standards.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Evaluate and recommend AWS services and third‑party tools to meet business needs.
• Develop architecture diagrams, technical documentation, and design specifications.
• Lead the migration of on‑premises applications to AWS.
• Optimize AWS environments for cost, performance, and reliability.
• Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions for proactive issue resolution.
• Mentor junior engineers, providing technical leadership and knowledge sharing.
• Stay updated with the latest AWS innovations and industry trends.

Required profile

• 7+ years of cloud architecture experience, primarily on AWS.
• 5+ years of experience optimizing environments for cost efficiency.
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Professional or Associate) or equivalent certification.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a quantitative or technical field such as Computer Science, Engineering, Data Analytics, or Finance.

Required skills

• AWS services: EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, VPC, IAM, CloudFormation.
• Infrastructure‑as‑code tools: Terraform, AWS CDK.
• Scripting and automation: Python, Bash, PowerShell.
• Networking, security, and compliance in the cloud.
• Design of cloud‑native applications and microservices.
• DevOps practices and CI/CD pipeline implementation.
