Assistant Operator – Bulk Liquid Terminal

About the role

The Assistant Operator will support daily operations at Protank's Maydon Wharf terminal, handling bulk liquid products safely and efficiently. This full‑time, on‑site position works closely with senior operators to ensure smooth receipt, transfer, and dispatch of strategic high‑flash liquids.

Key responsibilities

• Load and off‑load road tankers and vessels carrying bulk liquids.
• Assist with daily chemical plant operations, following defined schedules and procedures.
• Complete required documentation and maintain accurate records.
• Perform routine housekeeping to keep the work area clean and organized.
• Uphold high safety standards, adhering to environmental and quality regulations.

Required profile

• Matric (Grade 12) qualification.
• Physically fit and able to work in a demanding environment.
• Safety‑conscious with a strong commitment to regulatory compliance.
• Team player who can work shifts and collaborate with colleagues.

Required skills

• Knowledge of bulk chemical storage plant operations (advantageous).
