Assistant Financial Manager

About the role

We are looking for an Assistant Financial Manager to join our fast‑paced hospitality and gaming finance team in Johannesburg North. The role offers exposure to the full finance function and close collaboration with senior stakeholders, supporting operational performance and strategic growth.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with bookkeeping, journal processing and day‑to‑day financial administration.
• Prepare and submit VAT returns and handle all SARS verifications and queries.
• Prepare income statements and balance sheets to ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Maintain the general ledger and perform reconciliations to safeguard the integrity of financial records.
• Manage utility schedules and rental management reporting.

Required profile

• BCom degree in Accounting or Finance (essential).
• Minimum three years of experience in a senior accounting role.
• Experience in hospitality, entertainment, gaming or property sectors preferred.
• Strong understanding of financial reporting, reconciliations and statutory requirements.
• Proven exposure to ERP systems and advanced Microsoft Excel capabilities.
