Apparel Team Leader (Centurion)

About the role

The Apparel Team Leader will manage and develop the new Apparel brand store in Centurion, ensuring excellent service, operational excellence and strong sales performance. The role supports the Store Manager and takes full accountability for the store during scheduled shifts or in the manager’s absence.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Store Manager and take full accountability for store operations during scheduled shifts or in the manager’s absence.
• Manage day‑to‑day store activities including operating standards, administration, security, sales, after‑sales, stock and merchandising.
• Deliver a friendly, engaging customer experience and maintain a positive atmosphere focused on service and public relations.
• Lead, motivate, train and develop the allocated team, participating in regular store meetings to review performance and identify training needs.
• Ensure adherence to trading hours, opening/closing procedures and appropriate staffing levels for peak periods.
• Keep the store appearance, signage, planograms and seasonal style guides to brand standards and maintain well‑stocked, tidy environments.
• Oversee loss‑prevention measures, shrinkage controls and RFID tagging throughout the stock movement cycle.
• Monitor inventory levels, conduct daily stock counts and provide accurate stock administration and reporting.

Required profile

• Minimum of 1 year experience in a retail or service‑oriented environment, managing a small team in a customer‑facing, sales and stock role.
• High energy individual with experience in apparel, clothing or fashion retail and exposure to retail systems and technologies.
• Good understanding of retail procedures, company policies, operational controls, loss‑prevention and health & safety standards.
• Flexibility to work day, afternoon, evening shifts, weekends and public holidays as required.
• Relevant post‑secondary courses or qualifications (or working towards them) are advantageous.
