AI Trainer - Video Annotation

About the role

iMerit Technology, part of the EXL group, is hiring detail-oriented individuals as AI Trainers focused on video annotation. The role turns raw visual data into structured information that AI systems can process, serving as ground truth for robotics projects. It is a remote position open worldwide, suited to people who enjoy structured tasks, have strong analytical abilities and prefer working independently.

Key responsibilities

• Annotate short video clips by marking items, human actions or distinct events
• Evaluate video segments against strict quality and relevance standards
• Analyze the clarity and plausibility of movements so the AI learns realistic behaviour
• Follow established protocols strictly to keep accuracy and consistency across large datasets
• Flag quality issues or inconsistencies that could hinder the AI's learning

Required profile

• No robotics or computer science background required; the focus is on cognitive aptitude and precision
• Ability to break complex scenes down into objective data points
• High attention to detail, as small annotation errors affect AI training
• Written English proficiency, since instructions and guidelines are in English
• Comfortable working independently and consistently applying the same standard to every clip
