Aftermarket Operations Manager – Africa (Mobile Crushing & Screening)

About the role

Sandvik Rock Processing Solutions is looking for an Aftermarket Operations Manager for the Africa sales area, covering mobile crushing and screening. The role leads and grows the Africa aftermarket organization, aligning its strategy with the division and business line strategy, and executes territory-specific action plans. It manages sales of parts, wear and spares, maintenance services, service solutions, warranty support, product upgrades and lifecycle offerings to direct customers and distributors.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement the Africa aftermarket plan with territory action plans for growth, retention and customer engagement, and drive profitable growth across spare parts, wear parts, maintenance services, warranty extensions and lifecycle services.
• Set, monitor and deliver sales targets, KPIs, budgets and forecasts, including order intake, revenue, margin, capture rate, customer retention, NPS and revenue per installed machine.
• Manage customer and distributor relationships, provide consultative selling, and handle customer complaints and escalations.
• Lead pricing negotiations, service and supply contracts, warranty and extended service agreements, and take part in commercial strategy such as 3-5 year plans and BAPs.
• Oversee sales forecasts, budgets and plans, and monitor performance, pipeline, market share and margins.
• Maintain accurate installed-base and fleet databases, run market analysis, and promote digital tools to track the active fleet.
• Promote new products, set up lifecycle capture plans, and build a technical support organization with a competency roadmap, certifications and training.
• Organize root cause analysis for failures at strategic customers and consolidate technical and safety bulletins.
• Work with logistics and inventory management to ensure timely order fulfilment, and build resource cases with Territory Managers and Service Managers.
• Lead sales, product support, field service, sales support and training resources, and collaborate with commercial, procurement, logistics and product teams.
• Deliver EHS responsibilities, including risk control, audit compliance, incident learning and corrective actions.

Required profile

• Degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering or a closely related engineering discipline.
• Relevant trade certificate.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar managerial role, with exposure to mining or a related industry.
