After-Sales Inspector (Customer Service)

About the role

The After‑Sales Inspector will travel to client sites to perform inspections, audits and assessments of racking and shelving installations. The role ensures that all installations meet safety standards, manufacturer specifications and customer requirements, helping to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct routine and scheduled inspections of racking and shelving systems at customer locations.
• Identify defects, damages or non‑compliance issues and recommend corrective actions.
• Prepare detailed inspection reports with photographic evidence and compliance checklists.
• Advise customers on safe usage, load capacities and maintenance requirements.
• Coordinate with internal teams to arrange repairs, replacements or new installations.
• Provide technical support and guidance to clients after installation.
• Ensure compliance with SEMA and local occupational health and safety regulations.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, findings and follow‑up actions.

Required profile

• Matric (Grade 12) or equivalent qualification.
• Technical certification in engineering, safety or a related field is preferred.
• Experience inspecting racking, shelving or warehouse equipment is an advantage.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to spot potential hazards.
• Excellent communication and report‑writing abilities.
• Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel to client sites.
