Accountant

About the role

Ultimate Sports Nutrition is seeking a diligent Accountant to manage the end‑to‑end accounting function. You will ensure accurate financial records, maintain effective controls, and provide timely reporting to support both operational and strategic decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Process daily transactions and maintain the general ledger.
• Perform balance‑sheet reconciliations and month‑end journal entries.
• Maintain Fixed Asset Register (FAR) and weekly payment lists.
• Conduct bank and VAT reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly management accounts and cash‑flow forecasts.
• Support the annual audit process.
• Generate weekly sales reports and analyse customer profitability.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Completed SAICA / SAIPA articles (highly advantageous).
• Professional registration (e.g., SAICA, SAIPA, CIMA) – advantageous.
• 2–3 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably post‑articles.
• Proven experience in month‑end processes, reconciliations and financial reporting.
• Experience in a manufacturing, FMCG or distribution environment – advantageous.
